About Laurel Highlands Lighting
From the Laurel Highlands
Chase Shaffer is the owner of Laurel Highlands Lighting. He grew up in the Laurel Highlands, rode dirt bikes through these trails all his life, and knows the towns around here because he's from them, not because he drew a circle on a map.
He left the mill for this
Before starting the business, Chase worked in a steel mill in Pittsburgh. The pay was steady and the work was hard, but it never ended with anyone smiling. In 2025 he left that job to hang Christmas lights. He wanted work that made someone's night when they pulled into the driveway.

Sixty five homes later
That first season turned into 65 homes across Westmoreland County and the Laurel Highlands. What began as Christmas lighting has grown to include permanent roofline systems, landscape lighting, and commercial properties.
You talk to Chase
Ask around about contractors and you'll hear the same complaints: nobody answers, nobody calls back, nobody shows up when they said they would.
Chase picks up the phone. He walks your property, writes the quote, and runs the job. The person you talk to in October is the same person running your job in November.
The standard
When the work is finished, you should look at your house and feel like the money was well spent. Every run of lights should look like someone measured it carefully. We use commercial-grade lights that are custom-cut for a clean, lasting finish. If anything needs attention during the season, we take care of it at no extra cost. At the end of the season the lights come down, get cleaned, and go into storage until next year.
That's it. Local guy, careful work, and lights that make the house feel finished.
